Professional bat removal and bat exclusion service protecting a Connecticut home from attic bat infestations.

Safe, Humane Bat Removal by Wildlife Control Services LLC

If you’ve discovered bats in your attic, chimney, walls, or soffits, you’re not alone. Every year homeowners throughout Connecticut discover bats using their homes as seasonal roosts.

At Wildlife Control Services LLC, we’ve been providing professional bat removal and exclusion services throughout Connecticut for over 30 years. Our experienced team safely removes bats while protecting both your family and these important native animals.

Call 860-236-2683 today for professional bat removal.

Why Are Bats Living in My Home?

Bats naturally look for dark, quiet places that resemble caves.

Common entry locations include:

  • Roof intersections
  • Ridge vents
  • Soffits
  • Gable vents
  • Chimneys
  • Fascia gaps
  • Loose siding
  • Construction gaps

Many homeowners never realize bats have entered until they begin hearing noises after sunset or discover bat droppings in the attic.

Signs You Have Bats

Common signs include:

✔ Scratching or fluttering noises after sunset

✔ Bats flying around your home at dusk

✔ Small black droppings (guano)

✔ Brown staining near roofline entry points

✔ Strong ammonia odors from accumulated guano

If you notice any of these signs, professional inspection is recommended.

Are Bats Dangerous?

Bats are incredibly beneficial to Connecticut’s ecosystem.

A single bat can consume thousands of insects in one evening, helping naturally reduce mosquito populations. CT.gov

However, bats should never be handled by homeowners.

Potential concerns include:

  • Rabies exposure (although uncommon)
  • Bat bites
  • Bat guano accumulation
  • Histoplasmosis risks during large guano cleanups
  • Damage caused by large colonies

Professional removal protects both your family and the bats.

Bat Exclusion Is the Only Permanent Solution

Many companies simply remove bats.

We solve the problem permanently.

Wildlife Control Services LLC performs complete bat exclusion by:

  • Identifying every active entry point
  • Installing professional one-way exclusion devices
  • Allowing bats to leave naturally
  • Preventing them from re-entering
  • Permanently sealing all access points

This humane process complies with Connecticut regulations and provides long-term protection.

Why Timing Matters

Bat exclusions cannot be performed year-round.

From approximately June through mid-August, young bats are unable to fly. Performing exclusions during this period can trap flightless pups inside the structure. CT.gov

Our team schedules exclusions at the proper time while ensuring your home receives the safest and most effective treatment.

Bat Guano Cleanup

Bat droppings can accumulate quickly inside attics.

Our cleanup services include:

  • Guano removal
  • Contaminated insulation removal
  • Sanitizing affected areas
  • Odor reduction
  • Restoration recommendations

Removing guano not only improves indoor air quality but also helps eliminate lingering odors.

Why Choose Wildlife Control Services LLC?

For more than 30 years, Connecticut homeowners have trusted Wildlife Control Services LLC because we provide:

  • Humane bat removal
  • Professional exclusions
  • Licensed wildlife specialists
  • Long-term prevention solutions
  • Residential and commercial service
  • Fully insured wildlife professionals

We don’t believe in temporary fixes.

We solve wildlife problems correctly the first time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can bats squeeze through small openings?

Yes. Bats can enter openings as small as ⅜ inch.

Will bats leave on their own?

Sometimes, but unless the entry points are professionally sealed, they’ll often return year after year.

Is it illegal to remove bats?

Connecticut protects most bat species. Professional exclusions must follow state guidelines, particularly during maternity season. CT.gov

Do bats damage homes?

While bats don’t chew like rodents, their guano, urine, and repeated occupancy can create significant sanitation issues.

Schedule Your Connecticut Bat Inspection

If you’ve seen bats entering your home or hear activity in your attic after sunset, don’t wait for the colony to grow.

Our experienced team will inspect your home, identify entry points, and recommend the safest long-term solution.

Zack and Shane captured a woodchuck under my shed before he could do damage to the foundation. He was captured in less than 24 hours. I am relieved to say he was released elsewhere and I hope he is happy in his new home. Zack and Shane are very personable and know their business. Give them a try if you have unwanted animal issues.

Shane was referred to me by a co-worker who had a great experience with a pest issue. He came over the same day I called and inspected the area I had a critter problem. He knew exactly what the problem was and immediately took action to remove the pests. Within a few days he caught and removed the intruders from my house. Shane was very professional and I highly recommend hiring him if you have any pest problems.

WCS was fast to respond to my mole problem. Eliminated multiple moles from my yard. Mowed my grass today and saw no activity for the first time in several years. Highly recommend these guys.

Shane and team were outstanding! Communication excellent. You do need to leave a message but Shane gets back quickly. Case in point… On the day they were coming to address our mouse issue we came across a skunk that was sick and not moving but alive. I made two phone calls: 1st call to our town animal control and had to leave a message. 2nd to Shane and he returned my call within an hour. They took care of the skunk no problem. Still have yet to hear back from the town. So if you have a choice Shane is your man!

Wonderful company! I was shocked to find a bat hanging in my gable vent. Zach screened my vents so no more "visitors" could move in, and made sure the bat was gone. Quick, efficient, careful, beautiful job. I highly recommend this company.

Wildlife Control Services "squirrel proofed" my home and did a fantastic job - I'm so pleased. Guys carefully worked with the weather to make sure that wear and tear on the lawn qas kept to a minimum when they brought in digging equipment. Completed work looks great. Cleanup after the job was completed and thorough. I couldn't be more pleased

We were at our wits end after playing loud (really loud) music for 5 days and 5 nights to try and convince the momma raccoon and her 5 kits living in our fireplace that there are quieter nests elsewhere. I called Shane, left a message and he promptly returned my call and with an hour he was at my door. He quickly assessed the situation, knew exactly what to do. In short order all the raccoons were removed from our fireplace. Shane is a true professional that I can trust to handle any other wildlife invasion! Forever grateful, Judy Glastonbury, CT
